Together with the Australian Business Group Oman, The Oman American Business Center, the British Business Forum, the European Business Persons Group, Oman’s international business communities came together to tackle the topic of ‘Challenge’ at this year’s Back2Business, Oman’s Largest Business Networking Event, sponsored by the Bank of Beirut Oman. The evening presented an opportunity to network, mingle and connect within spectacular surroundings.
Back2Business 2017 proved that the initiative has grown from strength to strength, with over 350 guests attending yesterday’s event hosted by the Grand Hyatt Muscat.
Guests included influential personnel, dignitaries and members of the Royal Family who eagerly networked with businesspersons from across a multitude of sectors.
“It was great to see so many of our members at the event, engaging with members from other business groups and making new contacts. I am often asked if real opportunities arise at these sorts of events – I identified two excellent business leads for Australian companies. Certainly a worthwhile networking event for me!” Susan Rae, Chairman ABGO.
“It’s an occasion where useful, insightful dialogue can be exchanged, whether you are an employee, an SME or a global corporation”. Eva Stanley-Jones, Event Organizer.
The theme of ‘Overcoming Challenge’ promoted interesting discussions encouraged by an inspirational address by the guest of honour, H.E. Talal Al-Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Planning. He reminded us that Oman has faced greater economic challenges in the past including armed conflict and low oil prices, during a time when Oman’s economy was less resilient than it is now. “We will overcome challenge again”.
